Orli Yakuel
Blogger, Go2web20 Co-Founder

Orli is extremely passionate about Web 2.0 and enjoys social media, and web & mobile companies. Orli confesses that she is often told that she seems to live on the Web, and admits that getting online often feels coming home.

Orli co-founded Go2web20.net, the largest online directory for Web 2.0 applications worldwide. Her blog and the Go2web20.net directory enjoy an international reach and a diverse audience, which provides her with a unique perspective.

Orli was formerly an analyst for AOL providing her with a media corporate view of the Web 2.0 playing field. At AOL Orli’s responsibilities included identifying promising startups and key technologies in the Web 2.0 field in the US and in Israel. Orli often played an important part in connecting Israeli startups with US-based companies.

When thinking about social media/Web 2.0 Orli believes that it’s all about providing value for the community. The world of online applications is extremely competitive, and understanding what is it that users want, in terms of usability, social features and messaging are often the difference between a business' failure and a runaway success. With competition just click away - companies often don't get a second chance, so it’s important to build this approach into the startup’s DNA.

As a consultant, Orli helps clients streamline their products and launch process, helping them stand out from the crowd.
